Specialized lessons for those who learn differently
With five years of teaching experience, I have seen firsthand how students who learn differently often struggle in traditional classroom settings. Many parents may attribute attention challenges to disorders, but the key question to consider is whether their child is receiving the necessary engagement and support to effectively absorb information.
Orton-Gillingham (OG) is diagnostic and prescriptive, meaning that instead of a general classroom approach, OG lessons are tailored to each student's unique learning needs. Using a structured, multisensory method, OG breaks down reading and spelling into manageable steps. Through visual, auditory, and hands-on techniques, OG helps students absorb, retain, and apply the material effectively.
We specialize in providing early educational development support for students in grades K-5. Our goal is to reinforce and bridge any gaps in knowledge from traditional classroom lessons, fostering confidence during these crucial developmental years.
Email us today to learn how we can help your child fill those gaps and set them up for long-term success on their educational journey.

The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling. In the hands of a well-trained and experienced instructor, it is a powerful tool of exceptional breadth, depth, and flexibility.
The Orton-Gillingham approach is designed to support any student who needs extra help with reading, spelling, or writing, regardless of a specific learning challenge. Each lesson is tailored to meet individual needs.
It is recommended that students meet with their tutor two to three times a week for 45 minutes. This can be altered to meet student needs.
Many parents notice improvements in their child’s confidence, engagement with reading and writing, and overall academic performance over time. We work closely with you to ensure we're addressing your child's specific needs and goals.
