Specialized lessons for those who learn differently.
With 5 years of teaching experience, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by students who learn differently from the majority in traditional classroom settings. It is common for parents to attribute attention needs to disorders, but the crucial question to ask is whether their child is receiving the necessary stimulus to effectively absorb information.
Diagnostic and prescriptive, meaning rather than teaching in a general educational manner like a classroom setting that is able to be absorbed by the majority of students, OG lessons are specifically designed around the learning differences of each student so they can best absorb the learning material.

The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling. In the hands of a well-trained and experienced instructor, it is a powerful tool of exceptional breadth, depth, and flexibility.
The Orton-Gillingham approach is designed to help any student struggling with reading, spelling, or writing. Lessons are tailored to meet individual needs.
It is recommended that students meet with their tutor twice a week for 45 minutes. This can be altered to meet student needs.
